Meghan micheli
Marketing & Program Coordinator
Meghan was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and made her journey out west in November of 2010. She holds a degree in both Public Relations and English from Texas Tech University, where she took a variety of classes that revealed her passion for working towards the well-being of communities. Meghan is proud to call Elko, Nevada, home, and has found excitement in the opportunity to work with businesses and individuals in both of her Chamber positions; first as Membership Support Coordinator and now as the Marketing and Program Coordinator. Her enthusiasm has also led her to Co-Chair the Elko Area Chamber’s Ambassador Committee - volunteers that mentor, assist and provide support for the Chamber and its members. When she is not busy working towards economic well-being, she can be found participating in Elko’s theatrical projects and performances. She was the Chief Business Officer to a local non-profit theatre company that puts on a variety of shows and events, for the last 5 years. Meghan believes that participation in the arts plays a pivotal role in any community, particularly in expression, creativity and cultural progress. She is only too happy to use these skills in addressing the needs of members of the Elko Area Chamber and is enthusiastic to contribute and assist with local area business needs. |
Katie WiebeMember Services/Visitor Center Coordinator
Katie Wiebe is very excited to start her journey with the Elko Area Chamber. The Chamber has always held a special place in her heart, starting from being a teenager and volunteering at the Chamber after school. She was born in California and spent the majority of her youth moving from state-to-state with her family. After making it from West Coast to East Coast and back again, her mom decided to settle in Elko. Upon completion of high school, she moved to San Francisco to attend Art College to study Digital Photography and Imaging. Her mom opened her own business in Elko and she moved back to become her first employee. This provided her with the experience of working in the community. After moving back she met her now husband Dakota. A couple years later, her and her husband were welcoming their son into this world and this lovely town. They honestly could not think of a better place to raise their son than here. She has many amazing friends, a wonderful family, and a beautiful community that she loves. She could not have asked for a different story to get her here today. She appreciates every moment of it, especially being a part of the Chamber staff. She is looking forward to working with this community and its business leaders and hopes to bring an energetic, positive spirit to all things she does. |
