KATIE BAWCOM

Member Services/Visitor Center Coordinator

Katie Bawcom was born and raised in Bishop, CA, a small ranching community in the Eastern Sierras famous for Mule Days. She was raised with a plethora of animals including a couple mule teams, horses, goats, bunnies, chickens and of course dogs and cats. After high school she briefly moved to Reno, NV for school then made her way up to Bozeman, MT. Bozeman was beautiful, and she loved exploring the openness of Big Sky Country and watching all the magnificent animals roaming. The one thing Montana didn’t have was her family, so she made the move to Elko to be closer to them. She met her husband, Beau, soon after moving to the area, and now has two dogs, a cat and a flock of chickens that keep her busy when she’s not at work. Katie enjoys baking, quilting, kayaking and going on adventures; the more she gets involved in the community, the more she loves it here.

Katie is excited about working at the Chamber and expanding her knowledge of the businesses and community as she gets to meet a whole new group of wonderful people.
